Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Electrical RF Engineer to support FAA Spectrum Engineering Services Group in Seattle, Denver, or Salt Lake City. The role involves RF spectrum analysis, interference mitigation, and on-site investigations with field equipment.

In-office work with up to 50% travel to NAS sites. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of RF experience, with ability to obtain security clearance and a US citizenship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical field.
  • 4+ years of RF engineering experience specific to spectrum analysis and interference mitigation.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain security clearances; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor reports of RF interference affecting NAS operations.
  • Evaluate urgency and impact of incoming RFI reports.
  • Conduct remote and on-site RF interference investigations using spectrum analysis tools.
  • Perform field investigations with spectrum analyzers, direction finders and antennas.
  • Interpret data and apply mitigation best practices to minimize NAS disruption.
  • Coordinate with system users, engineering leads and frequency managers; prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Travel for on-site investigations within the Western Service Area.
