Job summary

Contract Specialties Group in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician for our fast-paced RF and Microwave manufacturing environment. This hands-on role focuses on testing, tuning, troubleshooting, and manufacturing advanced RF products from discrete components to integrated subsystems.

You will collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to support prototype builds, New Product Introduction, process improvements, and production readiness while mentoring junior

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience in RF/microwave testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with high-reliability manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Test, tune, troubleshoot, characterize RF, microwave, millimeter-wave, and frequency conversion products.
• Perform RF characterization using advanced test instrumentation.
• Diagnose RF performance issues and determine root causes.
• Read engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Mentor junior technicians and support new product introductions.
• Develop manufacturing fixtures and standardized work instructions.
