Job summary

Spectrum Control is seeking a highly motivated RF technician in New York to perform production level testing and assist with new production introduction. You will breadboard prototypes, help transition modules to production, and calibrate test stands while training technicians and collaborating with engineers.

Experience with RF circuitry and a range of RF test equipment is essential. The role emphasizes lean manufacturing and continuous improvement in a dynamic lab and production environment.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (optional if over 4 years of RF technician experience) or equivalent, AND 7 years’ experience in an electronics manufacturing environment/ Equivalent military experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within electronic assembly field.

Responsibilities

• Experience with RF circuitry (amplifiers, mixers, integrated microwave assemblies) down to the component level.
• Use of RF test instruments including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, power supplies, DVMs.
• Assist engineers in product design, development, and production; support NPI and test stand optimization.
• Train production technicians and help in fixture development and documentation.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement in Manufacturing.
