Job summary

Echodyne, a leader in compact solid-state radar, seeks a Senior PCB Design Engineer to own complex multilayer PCBAs for radar products. You will collaborate with AMS, RF, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams and external suppliers to translate requirements into high-performance, manufacturable designs.

Responsibilities include planning designs through release, ensuring signal integrity and EMI compliance, and supporting NPI and sustaining changes across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Altium Designer or similar PCB design software.
• Knowledge of PCB layout for RF, millimeter-wave, high-speed digital, mixed-signal, analog, and power apps.
• Knowledge of PCB stackups, controlled impedance, materials, finishes and assembly.
• Experience applying DFM/DFT, IPC standards, and fabrication documentation.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and communicate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and drive PCB designs from schematic review to production release with estimates, priorities and risks.
• Translate schematics and requirements into complex multilayer PCBAs for RF and mixed-signal apps.
• Apply SI, PI, EMI, thermal and manufacturability best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and external vendors to optimize cost, quality and manufacturability.
• Support NPI, revisions and sustaining changes with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Create and maintain component symbols, footprints, and 3D models in the library.
• Provide guidance to junior designers and improve PCB design processes and tool flows.
• Work with RF and AMS teams to align requirements with vendor capabilities and best practices.
