Job summary

Skyworks in Newbury Park, CA, is seeking a senior RF design engineer to join a multi‑discipline team developing PA, RF switches and front‑end modules for high‑volume wireless handset production. You will contribute across product definition, architecture, transistor‑level design, MCM design, layout supervision, lab debug and production support.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and strong RF knowledge with hands‑on testing using network/spectrum analyzers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of direct experience in RF front-end development.
• Strong understanding of RF systems and cellular standards.
• Experience with wireless transceiver architectures and PA/RF switches.
• Knowledge of impedance matching, RF topologies, and broadband techniques.
• Experience with device/processing technologies (Si, GaAs, SOI, SAW/BAW).
• Proficiency with IC simulation tools (ADS, Cadence) and 2.5/3D EM tools.
• Experience designing MCMs with filter and matching networks.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and communicate with executives.

Responsibilities

• Develop PA, RF switches, and front‑end modules for high‑volume production.
• Lead product definition, architecture, and transistor‑level design.
• Supervise layout and assist in lab debug and production support.
• Collaborate across disciplines to meet performance targets.
• Present results to executive and marketing teams.
