Job summary

CesiumAstro in Colorado is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to lead design of RF circuits and systems for space-ready hardware, from concept through qualification. You will handle board-level schematic design, PCB layout, and system-level concepts like link budgets and modulation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in RF electronics, hands-on with vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and lab instruments, plus experience with CST/ADS and Altium.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years in RF electronics design, analysis, testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CST and ADS, and with Altium for PCB design.
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design RF circuits and systems through all development stages.
• Create block diagrams, detailed schematics, PCB layout, and routing for RF hardware.
• Perform system-level analyses including link budgets and modulation schemes.
• Present design reviews to customers and the executive team; contribute to proposals.
