Job summary

Mach Industries in Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a seasoned RF Engineer to lead development of next-generation defense technologies, including UAVs, missiles, and high-speed RF systems.

You will design RF front ends, work with cross-functional teams across electrical, software, mechanical, and manufacturing to move concepts from idea to manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on EMI/EMC, test, and validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in RF design and development.
• Experience with impedance matching, smith charts, power handling metrics (IP3, IMD, Harmonic Distortion, Phase Noise).
• Familiarity with AWR MWO, Keysight ADS, Genesys RF circuit tools.
• Familiarity with Altium Designer and Matlab.

Responsibilities

• Design of advanced RF front ends and transceivers for phased arrays, transmitters, and receivers.
• Mastery of RF components such as matching networks, filters, LNAs, Mixers, VGA, PLL/Synthesizers, and VCOs.
• Design, schematic capture, and PCB layout of RF transceivers and high-speed circuits.
• Minimize and troubleshoot EMI/RFI issues using best practices.
• Perform design validation testing with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, and related equipment.
• Contribute to integration of RF/Microwave designs into aircraft and other systems.
• Analyze field RF/Microwave performance data and investigate improvements and debugging.
• Contribute to embedded software development as part of the project.
