Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded firmware experience for RF/microwave front-ends.
• Proficient in bare-metal C/C++ for memory-constrained MCUs.
• Experience with RF front-end architectures and calibration techniques.
• Experience bringing up new MCUs including clock/PLL and peripheral setup.
• Strong Python scripting for automation and calibration tasks.
• Hands-on with RF test equipment and lab debugging.
• Proficient in common protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet.
• Ability to read schematics and optimize HW/SW trade-offs.
• Experience delivering reliable, deterministic software in RT environments.

Responsibilities

• Mission: Build next-gen counter-UAV defense systems to protect lives and assets.
• Firmware development: bare-metal C/C++ for RF front-end MCUs.
• Hardware co-design: collaborate with RF/hw engineers on components and trade-offs.
• Firmware bring-up: initialize peripherals and RF ICs on development boards.
• RF performance verification: lab tests to validate firmware and RF front-end.
• RF calibration: develop and implement calibration techniques in firmware.
• Automation: Python scripts to automate calibration processes.
• Testing and reliability: ensure firmware quality, trace issues and improve resilience.
• Software validation: create tests to validate new features and firmware behavior.
• Documentation: write specs, designs, and test procedures.
• Project planning: communicate risks and participate in trade-off decisions.
