Job summary

Mach Industries seeks an experienced RF Firmware Engineer to develop embedded firmware for the RF front-end of its autonomous defense radar platforms. You will join the DART team and collaborate with RF hardware engineers to deliver high-performance, reliable firmware from bring-up to deployment.

The role requires deep knowledge of RF/microwave front-ends, bare-metal C/C++, MCU bring-up, and scripting for automation. On-site work in Huntington Beach, CA is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years embedded firmware experience for RF/microwave front-ends (radar/wireless).
• Proficient in bare-metal C/C++ in memory-constrained environments.
• Experience bringing up new MCUs, clocks, and peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Firmware development for RF front-end boards powering radar products.
• Hardware co-design with antenna/RF engineers to optimize trade-offs.
• Bring-up of low-level code and peripherals (I2C, SPI, CAN, GPIO).
• RF performance verification using lab equipment and calibration techniques.
• Develop Python scripts to automate RF/microwave calibration processes.
• Documentation of software specs, designs, and tests.
• Contribute to project planning and risk management.
