Job summary

Mach Industries in Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a Sr Embedded DSP Engineer, High Performance Signal Processing to advance RF sensing for autonomous defense platforms. You will design radar signal-processing algorithms and implement them as high-performance embedded software on modern processors.

You will work closely with RF, FPGA and hardware teams to ensure low-latency, reliable radar systems, while optimizing power, memory and update rates in a fast-paced start‑up environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of production signal processing software experience for radar/RF sensing or real-time systems.
• Strong knowledge of DSP, statistical signal processing, estimation and detection theory.
• Translate mathematical models into implementable algorithms.
• Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools for development and testing.
• Low-level C/C++ proficiency for embedded systems and writing clean code.
• Experience with embedded processing architectures such as microcontrollers, DSPs or multicore SoCs.
• Ability to optimize performance to meet real-time constraints.
• On-site work at headquarters in Huntington Beach, CA.

Responsibilities

• Build radar and RF sensing software with high performance and low latency.
• Develop signaling processing algorithms including FFT, beamforming and detection.
• Prototype, implement and validate algorithms on high-performance cores.
• Collaborate with RF, FPGA and hardware engineers to optimize systems.
• Write production code across platforms from microcontrollers to multicore processors.
• Develop tests to validate numerical accuracy and real-time performance.
• Co-design hardware-software trade-offs for performance, power and cost.
• Calibrate RF signal chains and validate sensor performance.
• Support project planning, risk communication and documentation.
