Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Rolling Meadows, IL seeks a Principal Manufacturing Software Test Engineer (RF Systems) to lead test software development for RF production hardware. You will collaborate with Design, Test, QA and Manufacturing to ensure robust test solutions and high-quality environmental screening.

The role emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, rapid problem solving, and a focus on testability from requirements to release in a fast-paced production setting.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or related STEM field with 5+ years of experience; MS with 3+ years
• Experience in programming languages (C#, C, Java) and Lab Windows CVI
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, or firmware issues

Responsibilities

• Review and update software governing test equipment operation
• Troubleshoot software discrepancies and coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Design, develop, validate, and release test software for RF production hardware
• Develop and maintain manufacturing acceptance testing procedures and fixtures
• Support test station and fixture development for environmental testing
