Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Principal Embedded Software Engineer (RF Systems) in Rolling Meadows, IL to lead test software development for RF production hardware. You’ll collaborate with design, test hardware, QA, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust test solutions and acceptance testing across the production line.

You will drive software design, troubleshooting, and testability initiatives, interfacing with multiple levels of leadership and vendors while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or related STEM field.
• MS degree in a related field with relevant experience is acceptable.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Review/update software governing how test equipment operates and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Design and integrate software solutions to meet testing requirements.
• Develop and maintain Manufacturing Acceptance testing procedures and fixtures.
• Identify quality improvements to reduce cost, cycle time, and defects.
• Conduct testability reviews with design engineering to ensure testability.
• Develop and maintain test stations and fixtures for functional and environmental testing.
• Collaborate with leadership, clients, and vendors across organization.
