Job summary

Axon seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own design, development, and validation of complex electrical systems for mission-critical hardware. You will be a founding member of the hardware team with ownership across the full lifecycle, shaping architecture and standards to scale.

You will work on schematics, RF coexistence, mechanical integration, and hardware bring-up, debugging, and production readiness across cellular and Land Mobile Radio frequencies and power/thermal management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded electronics design experience and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with high-speed, high-density, battery-powered, or low-power systems.
• Strong understanding of RF coexistence and interference across cellular and regulated bands and signal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop mixed-signal schematics and drive PCB layout across processors, RF transceivers, power, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• Design and validate RF and radio systems across multiple wireless technologies, addressing performance and EMI/EMC.
• Collaborate with Mechanical/Industrial Design for antenna integration and form-factor constraints.
• Bring up, characterize, and troubleshoot hardware with electrical test equipment.
• Drive BOMs, documentation, verification, and readiness from concept to mass production.
• Provide technical direction to engineering teams and external partners.
