Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior RF Design and Test Engineer to join the Electrical Engineering Design team. You will work with electrical, mechanical, and systems teams and EMC/compliance groups to deliver RF hardware meeting performance and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes bridging design and validation from schematic/simulation through chamber characterization and compliance sign-off, with travel up to 10% and ability to obtain clearances.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with military and commercial communication system compliance standards.
• Exposure to spectrum authorization or certification processes for military RF systems is a plus.
• Experience with SAR and military RF exposure limits (e.g., MPE) and their influence on antenna design.
• Hands-on RF circuit/antenna design and testing experience.
• Knowledge of GPS/GNSS receiver architectures and active antenna bias considerations.
• Strong schematic reviews, CAD analysis, and RF/high-speed PCB layout practices.
• Proficiency with 3D EM simulation tools (HFSS, FEKO, CST) for RF/antenna modeling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure RF designs comply with military/commercial standards and support spectrum certification processes.
• Coordinate SAR and RF exposure testing and pass/fail criteria.
• Assess radio coexistence and desense between onboard radios and mitigate cross-band interference.
• Bench and chamber test RF hardware/antennas using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• Collaborate with EMC and mechanical teams to root-cause failures across RF/electrical/mechanical domains.
• Design RF front-ends, filters, amplifiers, and transceivers; perform link-budget analyses.
• Design and integrate antennas and arrays, considering mechanical interfaces and tolerances.
• Support GPS/GNSS receiver design, bias circuits, and interference immunity.
• Utilize 3D EM tools for RF/antenna performance optimization and SW/HW co-design.
