Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an RF engineer to own end-to-end RF communications systems for next-generation spacecraft. You will lead design, analysis, and testing from concept to flight, enabling real-time telemetry and data flows for reusable spacecraft operations.

The role requires a foundation in satellite communications and systems engineering, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Relocation support and security clearances may be provided.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related technical subject area.
• At least 4+ years of experience in avionics and communication systems development and verification.
• Knowledge of communication systems for system design, radios, antennas, RF components, waveforms.
• Experience performing EM simulations using HFSS, CST, or TICRA to optimize antenna performance.
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• U.S. citizen/national or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy mission-critical RF communications systems from concept through checkout for real-time telemetry, video, and data flows.
• Own end-to-end system performance including link budget, phase noise, coverage analyses, and verification.
• Design and execute RF test campaigns across bench, integrated systems, and field environments.
• Drive procurement strategy from supplier vetting through ongoing management.
• Define and maintain system architecture including sizing and performance parameters.
• Coordinate interfaces across space relay platforms, ground stations, and payload subsystems.
• Maintain configuration control with diagrams, inventories, and procedures.
• Support hardware integration labs, vehicle testing, and on-console during launches.
