Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in San Jose seeks an experienced Principal RF Design Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced RF/Microwave circuits, antennas, amplifiers, mixers and filters from concept to production. You will mentor junior engineers and coordinate with mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration of electronics with chassis and drawings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 7+ years in microwave/subsystem design.
• 7+ years with linear and EM simulation tools (ADS, Microwave Office, HFSS, Sonnet) or equivalent.
• 7+ years CAD experience for detailed engineering drawings.
• U.S. Government Secret clearance ability.
• U.S. Person status per export laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF/Microwave circuit and subsystem design, incl. antennas, amplifiers, mixers, switches, filters, oscillators.
• Oversee multistage cascade analyses for RF systems.
• Define test strategies, procedures, and guide prototype testing.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of designs.
• Support production with testing and troubleshooting to meet delivery goals.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Champion Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and safety standards.
