Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Principal RF Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership for advanced RF systems in aerospace and defense applications. You will guide a project team, oversee RF/Microwave circuit design, testing, and design-for-production activities.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in EE with 7+ years in high-reliability defense electronics, strong RF simulation skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams while traveling up to 10% and maintaining an active

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Typically requires 7 years of experience in High Reliability, Aerospace, or Defense Electronics product development and manufacturing.
• Experience providing technical leadership to an integrated product development team.
• Extensive experience in testing / troubleshooting RF/Microwave, analog, digital, and mixed signal circuits.
• Expertise using RF simulation software (Microwave Office, AWR, ADS, HFSS).
• Experience transferring new designs to production.
• Familiarity with RF theory.
• Travel up to 10%.
• Active Security Clearance required on day 1.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the detailed design of RF circuits, modules, and subsystems.
• Provide technical inputs to program plans and proposals
• Resolve complex technical issues for product manufacturing and test
• Foster skill development for less experienced engineers
• Collaborate and communicate as the technical lead for development programs and production products
