Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking an experienced revenue cycle specialist focused on outpatient billing and collections. You will review and submit claims, follow up on accounts, and ensure accurate information across patient records and payer contracts.

Responsibilities include researching and resolving complex cases, acting as a technical resource, and potentially cross-training in other revenue cycle areas. A minimum 5 years in revenue cycle is required, CPC is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years revenue cycle experience including hospital/professional billing or collections.
• Minimum 2 years coding experience; CPC highly preferred.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior decision-making, conflict resolution and analytical skills.
• Ability to interact with directors, managers, patients, internal staff and outside agency reps.
• Ability to organize complex reports and documents for distribution.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review and submit claims to third party payors; perform account follow-up.
• Update information on accounts and perform back-up coverage as needed.
• Serve as a technical resource on revenue cycle processes and policies.
• Cross-train in other revenue cycle functions.
• Research, analyze and resolve complex cases with minimal assistance.
