Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist II to perform commercial collections support within Patient Financial Services. You will review claims, resubmit to payors, and manage account information with strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Requires two years in hospital billing/collections and solid knowledge of payor contracts and privacy guidelines. Aiming for accuracy, you will assist with other revenue cycle duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years' hospital or professional billing/collections experience required; four years preferred.
• English communication skills required.
• Experience with Medicare, Medi-Cal and other commercial payors a plus.
• Basic computer/navigation skills; MS Office, Web/Vs, Emdeon and CS-Link preferred.
• HIPAA and privacy guidelines understanding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and resubmit claims to third party payors.
• Perform account follow-up activities.
• Update information on accounts.
• Communicate with payors to resolve issues.
• Cross-train in other revenue cycle functions and provide back-up coverage.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Cedars-Sinai core patient accounting systems.
