Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist II to provide commercial collections support within Patient Financial Services. You will review and resubmit claims, follow up on accounts, and interpret payor contracts while adhering to policies and timelines.

The role requires strong customer service, analytic, and problem-solving skills, with potential cross-training across revenue cycle functions; approved remote states include Arizona and other states.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years’ hospital or professional billing/collections experience.
• English proficiency required.
• Experience with Medicare, Medi-Cal and other payors a plus.
• Basic computer skills; MS Office, Web/VS, Emdeon and CS-Link preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and resubmit claims to third party payors; perform account follow-up and update information.
• Understand payor contracts and Cedars-Sinai billing and collections policies.
• Monitor work queues; ensure timely and accurate account resolution.
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to payment timelines and data entry standards.
• Cross-train in other revenue cycle functions as needed.
