Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is hiring a Senior Mid Revenue Cycle Coding Educator to serve as SME and training resource for medical record coding and patient charge issues. You will design and implement curricula, lead audits, and guide RI/HIM staff through CMS changes.

The role requires deep expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS and oncology coding, with hands-on experience in coding audits and education delivery, including Zoom-based training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years health care coding experience or Associate's with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS coding, CMS guidelines and related industry practices.
• Credentialing in CCS, CPC, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CO''C or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, create and implement educational curricula for coding education and training initiatives.
• Lead monthly audits and quality reviews to ensure compliant documentation and coding and charging.
• Review CMS changes and communicate impact to RI/HIM teams.
• Oversee audits and quality reviews for providers, nurses and RI/HIM staff.
• Lead projects to improve documentation quality and coding accuracy; develop stakeholder-tailored curricula.
• Approve education plans and onboarding programs for new RI/HIM team members.
