Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking an Inpatient Coding Educator to lead accuracy reviews, provide training, and ensure compliance for inpatient and outpatient coding. This remote role focuses on education, policy adherence, and data quality improvements across the Revenue Cycle teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years ICD-10 coding experience, relevant HIM certifications, and strong communication skills to support ongoing professional development and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years ICD-10 coding experience, preferably in a large academic medical center.
• RHIT/RHIA/CPC/CCS certification required or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and educate Coding Specialists on coding accuracy and compliance.
• Perform random coding quality reviews and provide timely feedback and training.
• Identify opportunities for performance improvement and report results to management.
• Maintain up-to-date credentials and knowledge of relevant guidelines.
