Qualifications

• Ability to break down KPIs and recommend improvement strategies.
• Works with minimal supervision to complete projects with high quality results.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record software.
• Experience presenting findings and recommendations to executives.
• Certified in Epic's Resolute Hospital/Professional Billing or Clarity.
• Epic revenue cycle certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• This role is an operational and technical analyst, supporting revenue cycle functions across Northwestern Medicine.
• Partners with hospital and professional billing owners to identify root causes, design workflows, and implement technology solutions within revenue cycle systems.
• Document policies, procedures, and workflows; resolve related issues.
• Extract historical data for risk, trending, and forecasting analyses; monitor quality and productivity metrics.
• Liaise between revenue cycle operations, IT, finance, and various departments.
• Identify opportunities for process and metric improvements via workflow changes, automation, or efficiency gains.
• Lead strategic changes to revenue cycle systems and workflows to drive metric-driven improvements.
• Analyze enterprise-wide data and provide explanations and recommendations to executives.
• Independently lead revenue cycle change initiatives, including managing team members and reporting progress.
• Coach junior colleagues in data management, process improvement, and system capabilities.
