Job summary

Voya Financial, Inc. is seeking a Lead Recordkeeper in New York to support complex defined contribution plan clients, with a primary focus on death claim processing.

The role requires strong retirement plan knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex participant accounts while delivering timely, accurate service to clients and beneficiaries. You will review death claim notifications, research participant activity, establish identifiers, and ensure compliant processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years of defined contribution retirement plan client service experience.
• Knowledge of defined contribution retirement plans and SECURE Act provisions.
• Proficiency with Task Manager, OMNI, or similar systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review death claim notifications to ensure requests are in good order.
• Research participant account activity including prior death claims and QDROs.
• Establish and maintain death claim identifiers and records.
• Review accounts for distributions, loans, and other activity per procedures.
• Validate beneficiary information and process death claims per plan provisions.
• Prepare condolence correspondence when appropriate.
• Respond to inquiries regarding account activity and death claim status.
• Collaborate with internal/external contacts to resolve issues.
