Job summary

Voya Financial, Inc. is seeking a Lead Recordkeeper to support complex defined contribution plan clients, focusing on death claim processing and related life events. You will handle account activity, beneficiary data, and regulatory compliance with accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires retirement plan knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to mentor junior staff while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years of defined contribution retirement plan client service experience.
• Working knowledge of defined contribution retirement plans and SECURE Act provisions.
• Proficiency in Task Manager, OMNI, or similar systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience interpreting plan provisions and regulatory requirements.
• Experience resolving complex client service issues.

Responsibilities

• Review death claim notifications and ensure requests are in good order.
• Research participant account activity and beneficiary data.
• Establish and maintain death claim identifiers and records.
• Process death claims in accordance with plan provisions and regulations.
• Prepare and distribute condolence correspondence when appropriate.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding account activity and claim status.
• Collaborate with internal/external contacts to resolve service issues.
• Maintain productivity, quality and accuracy standards.
