Job summary

John Hancock in the US Retirement division is seeking a Compliance Analyst to join the Sponsor Support team. You will perform complex data processing, scrubbing and uploading participant data to meet service levels, and read retirement plan documents to ensure reports align with Eligibility, Compensation and Contributions.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will help ensure IRS compliance activities such as nondiscrimination testing and required minimum distributions are completed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5-7+ years in a financial services operations environment.
• 5+ years in Defined Contribution plan administration.
• Experience reading and interpreting 401k retirement plan documents.
• Excellent data analysis and technology skills.
• Strong organization and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Time management and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Understand customized plan documents to generate reports per Eligibility, Compensation and Annual Employer contributions.
• Calculate complex employer matching contributions using pro rata and other methods.
• Analyze and reconcile reporting related to non-discrimination testing and submit to the team.
• Collaborate with Compliance & Government Reporting on testing issues.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
