Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in Bakersfield area is seeking a Senior Retirement Specialist to drive sales, provide education, and deliver service for plan participants. You will develop, manage and retain relationships with participants and hold retirement education interactions.

The role requires knowledge of 457 plans, FINRA Series 6, life and health licenses, and a minimum of three years in financial, sales or educational services. Travel and occasional work from home are involved.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in related field, insurance, business, marketing, preferred.
• Strong sales, communication and presentation skills are required.
• Ability to manage a territory and build relationships with plan participants.
• Knowledge of financial products and retirement plans to expand plan relationships.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and conducts one-on-one and group seminars for participants within an assigned territory.
• Supports Program Director in territory planning and development activities.
• Provides counseling on features and benefits of defined contribution plans to drive sales growth.
• Develops relationships with key contacts at department head level to expand products and services.
• Leads special projects related to marketing, enrollment, or administrative processes.
