Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Retirement Specialist to drive sales, educate participants, and deliver high-level service for retirement plans. You will build and retain relationships with plan participants, identify prospects, and manage a territory with occasional travel.

Ideal candidates have a background in financial services, strong presentation skills, and FINRA licenses. The role may involve working from home within the assigned region and requires regular travel

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in related field: insurance, business, or marketing.
• FINRA Series 6 license and life and health licenses required; Series 63 and 65 may be necessary.
• Three years of related experience in financial, sales or educational services functions.
• Knowledge of 457 plans and additional financial products/services to expand plan relationships.
• Strong sales, communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and conducts one-on-one and group seminars for participants within an assigned territory.
• Assists the Program Director in territory planning and strategic activities.
• Provides counseling on defined contribution retirement plans to drive sales growth.
• Develops relationships with key contacts at the department head level to expand services.
• Leads training on new presentations, product information, and policy changes; acts as a team lead for Retirement Specialists.
