Job summary

Nationwide Financial in Colorado seeks a Senior Retirement Specialist to drive plan participant education, sales, and service for defined contribution plans within an assigned territory. You will develop, manage and retain relationships with participants and have regular retirement education and planning interactions with them.

You will identify prospects and acquire new small cases. The role requires FINRA licenses (Series 6/63/65 or 7/66 Life & Health), a strong sales mindset, and travel

Qualifications

• Education: Undergraduate studies in related field, insurance, business, marketing, preferred.
• License/Certification/Designation: FINRA Series 6 license, and life and health licenses required; Series 63 and 65 may be necessary.
• Experience: Three years of related experience in financial, sales or educational services functions.
• Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Expertise in public sector business and 457 plans; ability to communicate product information and handle relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and conducts seminars for participants within an assigned territory.
• Supports the Program Director in territory planning, execution strategies and team building/development activities.
• Provides counseling on defined contribution plans to drive sales growth.
• Develops relationships with key entity contacts to expand products and services within the plan.
• Leads special projects in marketing, customer service, enrollment and other administrative processes.
