Nationwide seeks a Senior Retirement Specialist to lead retirement plan sales and client engagement across a defined territory, delivering seminars and counseling participants on 457 plans and related products.

The role requires travel, leadership of Retirement Specialists, and collaboration with Program Directors to expand plan offerings. A strong background in defined contribution plans and financial counseling is essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in related field, insurance, business, or marketing preferred.
• Three years of related experience in financial, sales or educational services functions.
• Must have expertise in the public sector business, and knowledge of 457 plans and additional financial products/services to expand plan relationships. Ability to navigate political and economic landscapes to achieve business results.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and conducts seminars for participants within an assigned territory.
• Supports the Program Director in territory planning, execution strategies and team building/development activities.
• Provides counseling and guidance on defined contribution retirement savings plans to drive sales growth.
• Develops relationships with key contacts at the department head level to expand products and services within the plan.
• Leads special projects related to marketing, customer service, enrollment and administrative processes.
• Works with home office teams to solve customer issues or implement actions to improve processes for the field.
