Job summary

Moran Environmental Recovery is seeking a Benefits Specialist in Seattle, WA to manage retirement plans, ACA compliance, and health and welfare benefits. You will lead 401(k) and SERP operations, run audits, and ensure accurate payroll reconciliations while supporting Roth, HSA, and FSA activities. Strong Excel and UKG Pro experience preferred.

The role reports to the Benefits Manager and offers a comprehensive benefits package with PTO and 401(k) matching. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 4–6+ years of benefits admin experience, especially retirement operations.
• Proficiency in UKG Pro Benefits Setup/Admin and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of 401(k), SERP, ACA reporting, ERISA.

Responsibilities

• Admin 401(k) and SERP operations and funding.
• Payroll reconciliation and line-by-line data verification.
• Monitor LTPT eligibility and automatic enrollment features.
• Audit SERP contributions, vesting, and payouts.
• Manage ACA admin, 1094-C/1095-C filings, and plan communications.
• Lead annual plan audits and Form 5500 filings.
• Support HSA funding and benefit enrollment audits.
• Respond to escalated employee inquiries on benefits.
