Job summary

Acosta is seeking a Sales Strategy Lead to translate JM Smucker headquarter priorities into clear retail plans and actionable field strategies. You will partner with sales, operations, and analytics to drive execution, reporting, and measurable business impact.

In this role you will lead client sessions, manage multiple workstreams, and apply AI/automation to improve planning and outcomes, while traveling as needed to support accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Progressive experience in CPG, retail strategy, client service, or sales strategy.
• Proven success leading complex cross‑functional projects.
• Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, writing, and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and business reporting tools; Power BI and AI experience preferred.
• Knowledge of retail execution including distribution, shelving, merchandising, promotions, and on‑shelf availability.
• Ability to travel with reliable transportation as required.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted partnerships with JM Smucker sales and customer teams; establish planning cadence and visibility to priorities, risks, opportunities, and next steps.
• Translate customer objectives into clear field strategies, timing, reporting requirements, and measurable success criteria.
• Own initiatives from intake through launch, execution monitoring, and post‑event evaluation.
• Lead client sessions, planning meetings, and business reviews with confidence.
• Use Power BI, Excel, client data, retail reporting, and field insights to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities across distribution, on‑shelf availability, merchandising, and promotions.
• Develop concise business stories that demonstrate value creation and ROI.
• Influence cross‑functional partners to ensure plans are executable, prioritized, and delivered.
• Manage multiple meetings, workstreams, deadlines, and complex projects with accuracy.
• Lead process improvements using AI and automation to enhance planning and outcomes.
