Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Programs team supporting a confidential high-tech retail client. This on-site US-wide role coordinates design, construction and handover across multiple locations with a focus on retail interiors and client collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction management, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage schedules and budgets across a program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction management, with a strong preference for retail or commercial interiors projects.
• Proven experience delivering projects from preconstruction/design through to completion.
• Experience working across multiple projects or within a program environment is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a client-facing role.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to travel as required to support projects across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from design development through construction and handover across a national portfolio.
• Manage and coordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, and vendor partners to ensure alignment with program objectives.
• Review design packages for constructability, identify risks to cost, schedule, and quality, and provide clear recommendations.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reporting across the program.
• Lead site-based activities, ensuring projects meet design intent, safety standards and quality expectations.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and jurisdictional requirements across various U.S. regions.
• Promote and maintain strong health and safety practices throughout all phases of construction.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor in a client-facing environment.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, as applicable.
• Interface with authorities, developers, and others regarding site development and permits.
• Review submittals and RFIs; coordinate with commissioning during plan development.
