Job summary

Eataly is hiring a Senior Host to be the first and last point of contact with guests, greeting and seating them, and maintaining the flow of the restaurant during service. The role reports to the Restaurant Floor Manager and includes training new hires on seating plans, OpenTable usage, and hospitality standards.

The Senior Host will also handle reservation coordination, guest communications, and ensuring a polished dining room appearance across AM/PM shifts, including event spaces as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a high-volume restaurant
• Basic computer skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests and manage seating flow during service
• Train new host hires on floor plan, OpenTable features, guest interactions, and hospitality standards
• Check voicemails and return calls for reservations; forward event inquiries to Events Team
• Maintain menu inventory and print menus as needed
• Ensure restaurant appearance and seating chart accuracy; balance walk-ins with reservations
• Communicate reservation details to management (birthdays, anniversaries, VIPs) each shift
