Job summary

Capital Health System, Inc. seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist to establish and manage advanced ventilation with minimal supervision. You will develop daily care plans, collect specimens, and interpret data to guide therapy in collaboration with the patient care team.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy with RRT, 2 years’ experience preferred, and ACLS/BLS/NRP certifications. This is a full-time, 12-hour shift position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an AMA Accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• Two years clinical experience preferred.
• AHA ACLS-Adv Cardiac Life Support, AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, AHA NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and manages ventilation with high proficiency and minimal supervision.
• Develops or refines the ventilator care plan daily and communicates with the care team.
• Collects specimens and performs diagnostic testing with high proficiency.
• Interprets diagnostic data and creates sound care plans aligned with standards.
• Provides education to patient and/or family as appropriate.
• Responds promptly to Code Blue, RRT, Trauma and STATS about 90% of the time.
