Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist - RRT to administer respiratory care per physician orders in an acute care setting. You will assess patients, monitor responses, adjust ventilator settings, and document thoroughly while collaborating with the care team.

Required: RRT certification and ACLS/PALS; NICU experience with NRP and STABLE is a plus. 1–3 years of related experience preferred; strong communication and safety adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of respiratory experience in an acute care setting preferred
• RRT certification is required
• ACLS and PALS are required; NRP and STABLE if NICU department

Responsibilities

• Administers advanced respiratory treatments and monitors patient response.
• Performs ABG punctures and reports results promptly.
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures as assigned.
• Performs pulmonary testing procedures as assigned.
• Maintains and documents safety, PPE, and infection control standards.
• Ventilator management and airway maintenance.
• Ensures accurate documentation of treatments and patient responses.
