Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join our night shift team. The role involves initiating and managing mechanical ventilation, interpreting ABGs, and supporting staff and students in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 3+ years of hospital experience as an RRT required.
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS required; STABLE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recommend changes in respiratory care plans based on medical necessity and established protocols.
• Instruct and coach patients before, during, and after treatment delivery.
• Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilation and adjust settings.
• Monitor progress and reassess therapies; supervise student preceptorship programs.
• Provide cardiopulmonary diagnostics support (e.g., stress testing, Holter setup, PFTs).
• Maintain staff training and educational support; ensure quality care.
