Job summary

Advocate Health Cabarrus is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide expert respiratory care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will administer therapies, monitor patients, and ensure safe operation of ventilators and oxygen delivery systems.

The role requires an AMA-approved education, RRT eligibility or credential, and state licensure. BLS is required; advanced certifications per policy may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Associate's RRT or RRT Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of employment.
• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor oxygen delivery methods and equipment to ensure adequate oxygenation.
• Administer and evaluate respiratory therapies and procedures.
• Perform diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Inititiate and manage mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluate therapies and recommend plans of care and patient education.
