Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide advanced respiratory care in a high-acuity setting. The role requires managing oxygen delivery, ventilators, and therapy procedures while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Graduate from an approved Respiratory Therapy program with an Associate’s degree is required; RRT credential and state license are mandatory. BLS and facility-specific certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Associates degree required; BA/BS preferred.
• RRT credential required; licensed in the state.
• BLS for healthcare providers required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in oxygen delivery modes and equipment.
• Administers prescribed therapeutic procedures and monitors outcomes.
• Performs diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates therapies and recommends care plans.
