Job summary

Advocate Health (Atrium Health Cabarrus) is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy Services department. The role involves night shifts from 7p to 7a, with a total of 24 hours per week and eligibility for a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include delivering oxygen therapy, operating ventilators, performing diagnostics, and documenting patient care while maintaining high-quality standards and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires NBRC credentialing as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner/Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the state of work.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery modes and associated equipment.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and monitors outcomes.
• Performs diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Operates and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates therapies and makes care recommendations.
• Documents therapy and results in EMR.
• Communicates with the healthcare team.
• Responds to emergencies with respiratory care interventions.
• Handles PHI per policy and maintains chart accuracy.
