Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner for the night shift to provide expert respiratory therapy, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and support complex ventilatory care.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Oregon license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP within specified timelines, 3 years acute care experience and 1 year Birth Center/Labor & Delivery; preferred Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent education/experience.
Upon hire: Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.
Within 90 days of hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association.
Within 90 days of hire: National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics.
Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: AARC preceptor certification.
3 years Respiratory Therapist experience in acute care setting.
1 year experience in Birth Center/Labor and Delivery.

Responsibilities

Assist physician with the delivery and direction of respiratory therapy.
Operate and maintain complex ventilatory support systems and monitoring devices.
Perform patient assessments and adjust therapy per plan of care.
Collaborate with physicians and nurses in planning and implementing the patient plan of care.
Train students and new hires as needed.
