Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Senior Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift. The role covers collaboration with physicians and nurses, operation of ventilatory support systems, and delivering comprehensive respiratory care across units including ICU and birth center settings.

The candidate has a strong foundation in respiratory therapy, with required Oregon licensure, BLS/ACLS, and relevant experience in acute care and labor/delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent education/experience.
• Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License required at hire.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required at hire; PALS and NRP within 90 days.
• AARC preceptor certification within 6 months of hire.
• 3 years RT experience in acute care; 1 year in Birth Center/Labor & Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with delivery and direction of respiratory therapy.
• Operate and maintain complex ventilatory support systems and monitoring devices.
• Perform patient assessments and respiratory care procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to plan patient care.
• Complete orientation and unit-specific training as required.
