Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Senior Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night schedule. The role requires collaboration with physicians and nurses to develop patient care plans, operating ventilatory support systems, and performing respiratory care procedures.

Ideal candidates will have an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Oregon licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications, and 3 years of acute care experience including Birth Center/Labor and Delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent education/experience.
• Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• American Heart Association BLS.
• American Heart Association ACLS.
• American Heart Association PALS (within 90 days).
• American Academy of Pediatrics NRP (within 90 days).
• AARC preceptor certification (within 6 months).
• 3 years Respiratory Therapist experience in acute care setting.
• 1 year experience in Birth Center/Labor and Delivery.
• Bachelor's Degree in AMA accredited school of Respiratory Therapy (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to plan and implement patient care.
• Operate and maintain ventilatory support, monitoring and resuscitation devices.
• Perform respiratory care procedures and patient assessments.
• Train students and new hires as needed.

Education

Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent education/experience

Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association

National Provider PALS - American Heart Association

National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics

AARC preceptor certification

3 years Respiratory Therapist experience in acute care setting

1 year experience in Birth Center/Labor and Delivery

Bachelor's Degree in AMA accredited school of Respiratory Therapy (preferred)
