Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner for a full-time night schedule. The role involves independent execution of respiratory therapy, collaboration with physicians and nurses, and supervision of advanced ventilatory support equipment.

The successful candidate will have an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Oregon licensure, and extensive certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent education/experience.
• Upon hire: Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.
• Within 90 days of hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association.
• Within 90 days of hire: National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics.
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: AARC preceptor certification.
• 3 years Respiratory Therapist experience in acute care setting.
• 1 year experience in Birth Center/Labor and Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and nurses in planning and implementing patient care.
• Assist with delivery and direction of respiratory therapy.
• Operate and maintain complex ventilatory support systems and monitoring devices.
• Provide patient assessments and respiratory care procedures as needed.
• May train students and new hires.
