Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II at Kings Mills Hospital to provide comprehensive respiratory support from assessment to education. You will perform procedures, monitor responses, and adjust therapies in collaboration with the medical team.

The role requires NBRC credential, state license, two years of experience, and current BLS/ACLS. You will also contribute as a preceptor and support staff staffing and education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree related to Respiratory Therapy/Healthcare preferred.
• NBRC credentialed and state license required.
• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care including oxygen, aerosolized meds, ventilator care and education.
• Assist with procedures and staffing as Charge Therapist when needed.
• Perform CPR and airway management per protocols (ACLS).
• Monitor patient response and adjust therapies; document in records.
• Set up and maintain ventilators and perform PFTs when needed.
• Instruct patients and families on therapies and devices.
• Maintain all Respiratory Therapy equipment and supplies.
