Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II at St. Anne Hospital in Youngstown, OH. The position involves delivering comprehensive respiratory therapy, patient assessment, intervention and education, while ensuring safety and quality of care.

The role includes potential shift leadership, collaboration with physicians, and maintaining ventilators and related equipment. Must hold a current state license and NBRC credentials with ACLS/PALS/BLS certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Respiratory Care License required in the state of practice.
• NBRC credentialed required; RRT preferred.
• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care via assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• May serve as shift Charge Therapist and manage staffing levels.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopy and intubation.
• Perform CPR per ACLS and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain and monitor ventilators and airway equipment.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and devices.
• Document procedures in patient records.
