Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to provide comprehensive respiratory care at Perrysburg Medical Center. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, including oxygen therapy, bronchodilators, and ventilator management, while educating patients and families.

The role requires a state license, NBRC credentialing, and two years of experience in respiratory therapy. You will collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional (required).
• Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred.
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state they are working (required).
• NBRC credentialed (required).
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS often required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care including oxygen delivery, ventilator care, bronchial hygiene therapy, and education.
• Monitor patient response to therapies and adjust as needed.
• Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy and invasive monitoring.
• Serve as preceptor to new staff or students.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety in care delivery.
