Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering-related field or equivalent experience related to electric system operation or energy trading.
• Six plus years in control center, power plant or trading roles is typical for advancement.
• Familiarity with PI DataLink and/or PI Vision; knowledge of SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to regional transmission operator directives and ensure reliability commitments.
• Oversee plant operational information and coordinate with generation staff.
• Manage automatic generation control and optimize renewable production with reliability in mind.
• Lead and mentor less experienced operators and resolve complex issues with minimal oversight.
• Verify hourly/daily schedules and support joint plant operations off-takers.
• Investigate incidents and deliver written management reports.
