Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering-related field or equivalent education/experience.
• PJM Generation Dispatcher certification required.
• At least six years of control center, power plant and/or trading experience.
• Familiarity with PI DataLink and PI Vision.
• Knowledge of power system economics and economic dispatch.
• Ability to forecast daily generation and analyze trading activities.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to regional transmission operator directives.
• Manage plant operational information and coordinate with generation personnel.
• Oversee automatic generation control and manage intermittent renewable production.
• Aim for optimum economic resource utilization while maintaining reliability.
• Lead and mentor less experienced operators.
• Resolve complex issues with minimal oversight.
• Verify hourly/daily schedules and settlement review.
• Investigate incidents and deliver reports to management.
