Job summary

Energy Vault is seeking a Senior Energy Trading Manager to lead day-ahead and real-time trading for its utility-scale BESS fleet, focusing on ERCOT and CAISO markets. You will own trading strategy, use internal forecasting tools, and ensure optimal asset performance.

The role reports to the Head of Optimization & Trading and requires strong market analytics, risk management, and collaboration with software and operations teams to drive revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, economics, finance or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of power trading experience at a utility, IPP, trading firm, or energy trading software company.
• Deep ERCOT knowledge with working insight into multiple markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own day-ahead trading strategy for BESS assets.
• Manage real-time trading and ancillary services across markets.
• Monitor market fundamentals and risk to maximize revenue within constraints.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and asset operations teams.
• Translate analytics into programmatic optimization and roadmap priorities.
• Evaluate and adjust optimization strategies for transmission constraints.
